Just a few weeks after the release of his massive solo hit ‘The One‘, Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz has teamed up with legendary Congelese artist Fally Ipupa to deliver a scintillating new video to the song, ‘Inama‘.
Shot and directed by Jessica Francois and Declo In the French capital, Paris, ‘Inama’ was clearly an expensive venture for the duo that released the audio to this single about a month back. As with numerous Central African inspired videos, the song boasts plenty of gyration, to the slow-rolling and heavy bass-pumping groovy beats which fans of Fally Ipupa are all too familiar with.

It’s great to see Diamond’s troop of dancers resplendent in a host of matching outfits, from bleached white to hues of blue and orange, dancing on a backdrop of heavily lit and hazy mahogany and marble exteriors and interiors.
“Uwe na pesa kama Dangote, Penzi halijali umasikini, Laweza penda mtu yoyote,” Diamond sings, an interesting message to note, from one of the continent’s wealthiest musicians. The dances they perform include ‘ku-nyonga kama baiskeli’.
While Fally Ipupa’s last album was ‘Control’ at the start of November 2018, he recently featured on Ninho’s track ‘A Kinshasa’ earlier this year. He’s an award winning artist whose accolades, which include an MTV Africa Music Award and a BET Awards nomination, span the continents of Africa, North America and Europe.
To mark the release of his song, Diamond, who seems to be fond of Nairobi, performed at the new Gosip Ultra Lounge in the city’s Lavington suburbs.
