Barcelona, June 26 The Catalan President, Pere Aragonés, has responded this Monday to the statements of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the leader of the PP, who assured that the Catalan economy has collapsed because of this process: “It is time to deal with the disastrous talks (. ..) that our country cannot stop.”
Aragonés sent this response to Feijo at the Foundation Day event in Catalonia held at the Palau de la Música Catalana this Monday afternoon.
The PP candidate for the presidency of the government in the next elections wanted to respond to the criticism of the Catalan economy this Monday morning. The head of the Catalan administration, in an action in Barcelona, Feijo revealed his economic plan. Elections.
“In Catalonia, a social and economic restructuring is needed (…) There are partners of (Pedro) Sánchez who ask for independence and others who ask for a referendum. It has to be here because it is needed the most and where it can grow the most”, said Feijoo in Barcelona.
Aragonés clashed with the popular leader: “Today we have once again heard a political leader say that the Catalan economy is in decline, that political ambitions are a drag on the economy, not an opportunity. This image does not correspond to economic reality, that our companies, our workers, that is, our country, are unstoppable.”
After correcting Feijóo, Aragonés says that Catalan economic growth is also “limited” and that the lack of funding is a toll on the Catalan business sector today.
The Catalan president added “an infrastructural model based on radial centralization and the Mediterranean corridor that still needs to be done” to the list of limitations for the Catalan economy. EFE
