It should be noted that this analysis is based on the variation of cost per square meter in Latin American countries. The real estate company Properati is responsible for this assessment, calculating real estate values and comparing them in the most exclusive areas of the region. Therefore, it is common for the neighborhoods listed to vary in each annual edition of the list.

Which Peruvian neighborhoods rank as the most expensive countries in Latin America?

San Ysidro is the Peruvian district that ranks best on this select list. However, its real estate value has declined by 8% in recent years due to social unrest in the country. Lima District ranks 11th on the list, with an average price of $2,222 per square meter.

At 17th is Cama, one of southern Peru’s most exclusive neighborhoods. Located in Arequipa, the average price per square meter is $1,132.

It should be noted that some exclusive neighborhoods in Chile, Argentina and Colombia have seen their position in the rankings affected by the depreciation of their currencies in recent months. However, the gaucho country tied for first with Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires and Brazil with Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro for second.
