Based on the novel of the same name published by author Ruman Alam in 2021, “Leave the world” tells the story of the Sandford family, who embark on a dream vacation at a beach house on the outskirts of the Big City.
After arriving at the beautiful rental house, plans quickly go awry when a blackout occurs. Without the Internet, the family (father, mother and two children) simply communicate and wait for everything to be resolved.
Things change when the bell rings: Property owner G.H. Scott (Mahershala Ali) arrives with his daughter, complicated by a telecommunications outage.
Descriptive ending to “Leave the World”.
The last fifteen minutes of Sam Esmail’s film are crucial. After convincing a conservative neighbor named Danny (Kevin Bacon) to give them medicine, GH Scott talks to Clay and asks for his support in a future scenario. Obviously, the homeowner knows that things can get seriously complicated.
In parallel, after saving themselves from a herd of deer surrounding the room they both entered moments earlier, Amanda (Julia Roberts) and Ruth (Myhala) walk a few steps up the hill and discover the unthinkable: the big city is under a terrible air raid.

The smoke and desolation of the scene unnerves both characters, holding hands, fearful of the panorama: Is the end near?
However, only a few meters away from both is Rose, the most honest and quiet character in the entire plot. Sandford’s youngest daughter, an avowed fan of the “Friends” series (“That’s what makes me happy”), discovers a lavish mansion with a sort of anti-denial bunker in the background. Once inside, as if buttons and circuits are her specialty, Farrah McKenzie’s character progresses little by little until she discovers everything that will allow her to save her family: from snacks. Water and soft drinks, televisions and more.
Precisely in front of a large television screen, Ross finds an endless collection of DVDs, which includes his beloved series “Friends”. As he prepared to watch the end of the episode, he longed, “Leave the world” he concludes. The whole dystopian drama seems to be reduced to the same worldly pleasures as it was a few days ago.
Could there be a sequel?
Open-ended as described above does nothing but imagine different possibilities. One of them, no doubt, has to do with the possibility of a sequel. If the director, producers and others agree, the second part “Leave the worldIt should start from the moment Rose starts seeing “Friends” while everyone there is fighting for their lives.
Next to Ruth Scott is Amanda, who believes her ex-husband “likes to sleep with her.” For his part, Clay experiences his own difficulties with GH Scott. A continuation, in the case of both, is to understand the extent to which they were able to contact people who could help them.
Not to mention the bond that Amanda and GH Scott form during the plot. Because of initial skepticism and distance, the advertiser dances into the embrace of the owner of the beach house he’s rented to live on a dream vacation. Can a special feeling arise here?
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Archie (Charlie Evans) must recover from a health problem caused by the powerful sound that occasionally punishes the environment of the Sandfords and company. As we recall, this incident caused him to lose his teeth one by one and bleed for several minutes.
What will happen to the Sandfords and the Scots? If you decide on a sequel that’s less surprising than this first part, the normal thing is that everyone gets saved and you get to see how the nightmare ends.
But the truth is that sometimes things don’t end as we expect them to!
