Madrid offers more technology and connectivity to public servant positions to streamline citizen service – Gezette Madrid

This Wednesday, the Governing Council of the Community of Madrid approved 115 million euros until 2026 to transform the workplaces of public servants, with the aim of providing them with modern and digital positions. The move deepens the regional executive’s commitment to provide active, effective governance to citizens in line with the current moment of innovation and development.

Within the framework of the comprehensive digital transformation strategy designed for this assembly, the community of Madrid is transforming traditional positions into new generation environments that will allow autonomous workers to perform certain tasks more actively and safely.

It is a cross-cutting project through which high-performance tools are used, intelligent technology is implemented and advanced connectivity with remote access services is provided, so that users can reduce the time dedicated to some tasks and improve others with high value. Improve their competitiveness and have more autonomy.

It also envisages a continuous training program to strengthen cyber security and impart technical skills and competencies to officers. All these lead to improvements in productivity, quality of services and customer service. Currently, the regional administration has 190,000 public employees and manages 149,000 digital devices.
