MinTIC and Sena launch free technical courses with ILO certification: registration

The program will invest 430,000 million pesos, focusing on digital skills education for boys, girls, youth and adults. This Tuesday, February 20, it was launched.

“When we built the project together with the ILO and Sena, we thought about three main things: the employment relationship of our youth, because it is very important for training to have a purpose, one of which is to expand employment opportunities. The second is to strengthen the development of entrepreneurship and the digital economy, and the third is to be able to combine and continue those educational paths, those options to strengthen education,” explained Cinde Carolina Bernal, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation.

For all this, Cenatech is rising, transforming the labor market in the ICT sector, strengthening the training of our youth so that they become job-related or entrepreneurial.

The program consists of four types of activities that provide participants with hands-on training experience to adapt to the changing demands of the digital world.

Firstly, to train students in IT to reach 68,000 young technologists in accent with basic average in IT related fields. 34,000 of them will be in 2024 to 2025 and 34,000 in 2025 to 2026. The second line is to train 235,000 people in digital skills with international certificates between this year and 2026 through short virtual courses.

The other two lines are the curriculum update of skills training, which includes the curriculum design of new programs and the virtualization of others to increase their impact, and the training of a thousand Colombians as instructors in digital skills.

In addition, Senatek aims to promote training in information technologies (IT) in topics such as programming, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI) and data management and provide new opportunities to students (learners) studying secondary education. Adults.

Jorge Eduardo Londono Ulloa, director of Sena, said, “Artificial intelligence must be a tool at the service of society. For this reason, the project is the structure of a collective imagination, and supports, and has the capacity to make us understand, that the human being is valuable until it transcends the other.”

For his part, the director of the ILO, Italo Cardona, said: “The importance of investing in the training and skills of young people will mark the future of Colombia. For this, we must take advantage of this alliance. To develop their skills and provide opportunities, present the CENETEC strategy.
