Provincial Science, Art, Technology and Environment Exhibition 2023 opens

The Government of Santa Cruz, through the Provincial Council of Education, hosted the opening ceremony of the 2023 Science, Art, Technology and Environment Fair called “Knowledge” held at the Multipurpose Arts Center. In this educational program, students together with their teachers face different kinds of teaching challenges: academic, communicative, cultural, social, historical, technological and other aspects.

Maria Cecilia Velasquez, head of the provincial education department, opened the event and thanked everyone for attending. and knowledge. That is, to this place of noble heritage, built 29 years ago in the province of Santa Cruz, students exchange their processes and actions related to these themes.

At the same time, he emphasized that education is an institution through which societies are built together and that the central responsibility of the state lies in it. actors.

Velázquez said that science fair is the origin of people choosing science as a tool to change their reality. In this sense, he emphasized the importance of developing observational, analytical and critical thinking skills, not only for the advancement of science and technology, but also for creating increasingly supportive and just societies.

Regarding the exhibition’s title, he said that “Knowledge” refers to exploring, wondering and surrendering to the curiosity of knowledge, and that these refer to instances of collective construction in harmony with others.

María Cecilia Velázquez expressed, “Knowledge is a social right that we all have, and Santa Cruz is building a path that must be conquered and strengthened, but must be protected day by day.”

Similarly, he said, today humans have started talking about dehumanization and understanding that we go beyond being human. Some scientists wonder how this differs from artificial intelligence fixing everything. The answer, he asserted, is that humanity is related to the divine, linked to passion and love for the development of knowledge to serve others, and that this is the difference between artificial intelligence and humans.

Finally, the President of CPE noted that it is very important to strengthen the interest in science, technology, knowledge and to be more human in the educational system, ethics placed at the service of others. Society.
