Organized by Austria Lounge Advantage Austria– 15 Austrian companies participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2023, which took place from November 7 to 9 in Barcelona. Among them was SlackIt develops high-tech IoT devices that provide useful information for industrial IoT applications in areas such as Industry 4.0 and waste management.
Industrial applications of IoT support optimization and automation of processes, leading to increased productivity. SLOC’s smart devices for waste management, unveiled in the Austria Lounge at SCEWC 2023, increase efficiency in the disposal of waste containers by more than 30%.
SLOC solutions
SLOC provides real-time information on waste containers (glass, paper, residual, used clothing, domestic, commercial, underground, etc.) on fill level, lid opening and status, as well as operating modes such as fire alarms and emptying. This information helps truck fleets optimize routes, reduce costs, avoid traffic congestion and reduce CO2 emissions.
The data collected from the containers is fed into the SLOC waste collection portal for dynamic route planning based on fill level information, which is directly forwarded to the relevant waste management partner. Waste collection use of SLOC is used to document container movements such as location and disposal and routing operations.
For its part, the SLOC tracker device is used to measure values such as movement, location, temperature and impacts. It enables the location of containers and tracks them, cargo, assets and vehicles with functions that include theft alerts.
