The eighth edition of B-Venture, which will take place on October 17 and 18 at the Yuskaltuna Palace, already has its protagonists. Once the registration period has ended, a jury of experts has selected the ‘startups’ that will present their business plan this year at this forum, the largest dedicated to this type of companies in the north of Spain and EL CORREO’s commitment to helping innovative projects take their first steps and find the support that allows them to grow.
Newly, 27 companies will participate this year. Among them, potential investors and the attending public can find innovative projects such as providing anti-waste solutions in communal canteens such as schools or hospitals. those using microalgae as biological filters to reduce gases such as carbon dioxide or mobile beds of biomass to treat wastewater; creators of online sites with content dedicated to improving children’s cognitive development or reducing work stress; Mobile chargers or urban centers specializing in wind power generation – and camouflage- already design furniture. In addition to health, sustainability or education, among those selected there are also ‘startups’ dedicated to industry, cyber security, food or ‘big data’, making this event a thermometer again, and 19 companies in R&D created specifically in the Basque Country.
During the two days of the forum, promoters will be able to meet representatives of large companies interested in hiring the services of leading companies or establishing synergies with them to implement some of their projects, as well as potential investors invited by the organizers. In addition, in addition to obtaining funding or establishing business relationships, B-Venture also provides specialized training for entrepreneurs at the University of Deusto. This eighth edition is supported by the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, SPRI Development Agency, Biscay Provincial Council and Bilbao City Council and Banco Sabadell, BBVA Spark, Dexa Labor, BBKa Labor, BBKa Labor, BBKa Labor.
