University spin-offs as a technology transfer mechanism

It is very fashionable to ask about artificial intelligence at the moment, how entrepreneurs can innovate by improving their services or producers, creating value according to the needs of markets, so I want to explain how spin offs and artificial intelligence go hand in hand.

The creation of technology-based companies within universities, especially university spin-offs, has become one of the most effective means of transferring research and technology results from university research centers to the manufacturing sector in recent years. Consequently, these types of enterprises are studied because of their important role in innovation processes, job creation and their contribution to socioeconomic development.

Academic spin-offs are defined as companies born from the hands of researchers within research centers and universities, with the aim of transforming the results of research and knowledge into products and technologies with high added value, leading to commercial development through its activities. and economic growth affecting the competitive development of the manufacturing sector as a whole.

The high-tech and knowledge-based elements of university spin-offs are their differentiating advantage in the market, and this makes them a special typology. Exploitation of university-generated innovation results through spin-offs characterizes a different scenario of market introduction. Greater investment in research and development activities, training, modernization and implementation of advanced management technology solutions and continuous restructuring of business models and constant restructuring of the portfolio of products and services will guide the transformation and adaptation of the entire manufacturing sector.

The identification of groups of university spin-offs with similar behavior and characteristics has been carried out using a cluster analysis.
