Citizens of Sanke in Peralvillo area, HurrellFour houses and roads are reported to have been affected after a piece of land collapsed due to megaport-related works in the aforementioned city.

The incident occurred at kilometer 80 of the Panamericana Norte, where the port tunnel is under construction. Currently, the task has a general progress of 29.69%.

The company, Cosco Shipping Ports Chancay Peru SA, said in a statement that it would be responsible for repairing the damage caused and “strengthening the preventive measures of the construction process.”

He also said that the reasons for the incident will be investigated and necessary corrective measures will be taken.

It will inform the affected community and the competent authorities about the results of the investigation.
