A new Parliamentary meeting of the Commission on Science, Technology and Productive Innovation was held this afternoon, where the bill “National Science, Technology and Innovation Plan 2030” promoted by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation was addressed. This tool, proposed by the Ministry of Science, defines, organizes and communicates a set of policies, strategies and tools for all public and private actors and agencies that make up National Science, Technology and Innovation (SNCTI).
On the occasion – and the Chairman of the Commission, Dr. In the presence of Facundo Mañez and Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Daniel Filimus – Head of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Graciela Siscia, spoke. the discovery of the Argentine trade union (UIA) in support of the project; Javier Viqueira, 1st Deputy General Secretary of the Association of Metallurgical Industrialists of the Argentine Republic (ADIMRA) and President of ADOX SA; Dr. Carlos Greco, President of the National Interuniversity Council (CIN) and Rector of the National University of San Martin; Carlos Girotti, Communications Secretary of the Argentine Workers’ Confederation (CTA); and Susana Benitez, Science and Technology Co-Secretary of the General Workers’ Confederation (CGT) and Training Secretary of the SATSAID National Board of Directors.
Addressing the House, Minister Filmus explained the bill by saying, “It is necessary to discuss not only the strategies but also the specifics. We need to take the thematic concepts of the country and how to solve them, this is the work we need to do in the medium and long term to coordinate the state policy on science and technology. A law with this consensus deserves to move forward.

General ATE CONICET CABA of the Internal Board; Dr. Alberto Edel León, Conizet Senior Researcher, Director of the Rafaela Research and Transfer Center (CIT) and former Secretary of Science and Technology of the National University of Córdoba; Mr. Mauro Carrasco, Secretary of Science, Technology, Manufacturing Innovation and Culture of Suput Province and representative of Suput at COFECYT; and Dr. Carlos Abelido, former president of CONICET, former director of the Master’s Degree in Science and Technology Policy and Management (UBA) and professor of master’s degrees at the University of Buenos Aires and the National University of Rio Negro.
The plan has already been approved by the Senate and once it receives an opinion from the commission, it must be approved by the full House of Representatives to become law.
