The Reading Committee of the OEI Prize for Science and Technology Stories submitted 30 stories to the competition jury, which will make the final selection for a bilingual anthology by Argentinian publisher Sia in the coming weeks. Unlimited Shipping Company.
A different aesthetic showing the most interesting varieties in the literary treatment of a wide range of themes related to science and technology, the 30 preselected stories come from the following Latin American countries: Spain, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Brazil and Colombia. The works were selected from a pool of 530 stories – 404 in Spanish and 126 in Portuguese – sent in from 17 countries in the region during a call that closed on August 31.
The final selection – conducted by the prestigious authors MartÃn Felipe Castagnet, Liliana Colanzi, Fernanda Trias, Joca Reiners Terron, Veronica Stigger and João Tordo – will be announced in December 2023. Package release will be done both. In paper virtual format, international distribution to other countries in the region and in two versions: one in Spanish (paper and virtual) and the other in Portuguese (virtual).
