Senecid facilitated scientific and cultural exchange among the teachers of the Let’s Make Science program

Caldera, Boquete, Chiriquí, September 11, 2023. The National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (Cenacid), and the Ministry of Education (Meduga), organized a scientific and cultural exchange of teachers and principals at Caldera School in the Siriquae School Region.

This activity was created with the goal of educators participating in the “Let’s do Science” teaching professional development program presenting science projects and activities designed to strengthen student learning in areas such as science and mathematics.

The teachers of this program have participated in “Diploma in Research Projects” and “Diploma in Teaching Mathematics in Early Years”. For their part, principals and academic leaders participated in the “Diploma in Educational Leadership for Science Teaching”.

These exchanges were developed by the Directorate of Innovation in Science and Technology Learning of Cenecid in 5 Saturdays at the national level, in which 25 schools from Herrera and different parts of the country participated, starting from the Oeste region of Panama. Peak in Los Santos, Veraguas, San Miguelito, Chiriquí area.

Schools participating in this program in the Chiriquí region; Macano School, Vidal Barroso, Nuevo Vedado, Caldera, Chirigui and La Victoria.

Promoting educational exchanges between teachers, academic leaders and school directors, this exchange had a place for cultural and sports interaction, highlighting activities such as an exhibition of the robotics projects of Tele Basica de Caldera students, visits to various locations. is standing and giving an artistic edge to the guitar sound.

On the other hand, there were volleyball games and a tour to the caldera petroglyphs, one of the historical heritage sites of mankind in our country.
