Coordinated by researchers Rosario López Gómez (Department of Mathematics and Computing) and Alicia Muro Llorente (Department of Modern Philosophy), the activity has the collaboration of the Unit for Scientific Culture and Innovation (UCC+i) of the UR. The course, face-to-face and free, is open to all those interested in acquiring skills in the field of scientific dissemination and communication, with a special focus on pre-university professors and researchers of the University of La Rioja and postgraduates. and doctoral students.. can register until June 21 through the form available on the website www.ciencialarioja.es.
The academic program consists of 10 teaching hours in two morning sessions. Through talks and workshops, we will work on key concepts and tools for disseminating science using interactive and AI resources; Experiences carried out in pre-university contexts will be exposed, and a space for communication and exchange of ideas will be created in the practice of science dissemination.
The first presentation, “Integration between AI, Learning, Science and Dissemination”, will be given by Rocío del Campo Pedrosa (Industrial Engineer, Data Manager at Encore Labs). It was followed by “From ‘What to Teach’ to ‘How to’: Science Communication Resources and Strategies to Combat Student Dissatisfaction with Science,” by Tamara Esquivel Martin (Professor of Specific Didactics at UAM).
The next day, the talk “And there was light. Diffusion experiences” by Ignacio Funes (researcher Juan de la Cierva from UR) and the exhibition of chef Angel’s “culinary blind” efforts.
