The Xunta carried out the implementation of the space for the Creative Pole in the Cervo CEIP

The Xunta Cervo carried out work on the CEIP to launch a creative center, one of the technological spaces developed by the Department of Culture, Education, Vocational Training and Universities, to develop children’s skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. .

Lugo’s regional representative, Javier Arias, verified the outcome of the action, in which it was decided to install this new resource in the teachers’ room near the library.

The administration area was also remodeled to accommodate a new faculty room; An office was also created on the upper floor. The investment in all these works is about 11,000 euros.

Arias said the Xunta encourages the implementation of creative centers in educational centers to promote the use and learning of new technologies among students. For this, they have specialized equipment for audiovisual, photography, electronics, robotics, manufacturing, construction, textiles and computing and have kits tailored to the educational levels they target.

This action is part of the road map of the Galician Digital Education Strategy and the New Pedagogical Architecture project, with the aim of progressing towards more innovative and sustainable educational infrastructures. As for the Cervo CEIP, Arias recalls that the Xunta undertook an extensive rehabilitation of the center three years ago with an investment of nearly one million euros.
