They will host the first Regional Meeting of Science and Technology Institutes in Puno

The National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (CONSITEC) announced that the city of Juliaca in the Puno Region will be the scene of the I Regional Meeting of Science and Technology Clubs. The event will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 and will be held at the American Adventist Institute from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The main objective of the event is to strengthen educational quality by promoting scientific culture, social allocation of science, technology and technological innovation (CTI), and promotion of scientific careers in regular basic education.
The meeting will be attended by teachers and students from science and technology clubs in the Puno region, with an invitation to 53 clubs, and a total of 450 people, including elementary and secondary students and advisors.
During the event, various activities designed to promote collaboration and scientific reasoning among the participants will take place. Among these activities, stand out “identity formation”, in which participants choose their team name, representative color, cry of strength and a leader, and the scientific reasoning test in which they compete in clubs, the “Goldberg Machine”, the construction of a complex chain reaction machine.
