Ten Peruvian universities, between public and private institutions, are well positioned in the QS World Ranking 2024, one of the best international lists of academic excellence.

Prepared list British firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) This year implemented three new metrics to assess Environmental sustainability, student employment and international research collaboration.

For this Rank 2024Academic reputation, citations per professor, ratio of professors to students, reputation among employers, ratio of international students and foreign professors were evaluated.

Ten Best Peruvian Universities

The Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru leads the list of ten best in Peru Ranked 336 out of 1,500 in the 2024 QS World Ranking. PUCP ranks 10th this year among the best higher education institutions in Latin America.

This way, The PUCP has risen 27 positions compared to the previous edition, ranking first among the best Peruvian universities for 11 consecutive years.

It is followed by the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM) which has the highest scores among all public universities in the country. Globally, America’s Dean ranks between 901 and 950 positions.
In third place, the National University of Engineering (UNI) and the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) are tied, which are located between the 951 and 1000 positions.

The Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, University of Lima and Universidad del Pacifico continue on the list, positioned between 1,001 and 1,200 best institutions worldwide.

The top 10 universities in the country are closed, the National Agricultural University of La Molina, the University of San Ignacio de Loyola and the University of Piura, between 1201 and 1400 positions.

Top 10 Latin America

In this new edition, three of the best Latin American universities University of Sao Paulo (Position 85) From Brazil, The National Autonomous University of Mexico (93) and The University of Buenos Aires (95) is from Argentina.

In fourth place is Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (103 overall ranking), followed by the University of Chile (159).
