According to an IDC report, 65% of Latin American companies have problems recruiting, retaining and developing talent with the necessary skills to embrace a digital culture and meet current and future business needs. They estimate that this talent gap will be 2.5 million Latin Americans by 2026, where emerging roles will require up-to-date professionals.

To bridge this gap, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has committed to train 29 million people in cloud skills for free by 2025, and collaborates with companies, universities and governments to prepare Latin American talent for this digital age. As part of these efforts, the company offers a podcast in Spanish called “Talento Cloud” with the aim of encouraging people in Latin America to transform their future through AWS Cloud training.

“Talent Cloud” is produced in partnership with the Caffeine Agency and is presented by Ara Lopez, a journalist specializing in technology collaborating with various print, digital, radio and television media, and Luis Gigi, a journalist, speaker and presenter. The episodes feature testimonials and success stories from students, often with no prior technical knowledge, and Latin American professionals who have transformed their lives and careers through new job opportunities, thanks to the knowledge of cloud technology.

In the first episode, Carolina Pina, AWS Mass Training Leader for Latin America, talked about what cloud training is and its importance. “The truth is that the cloud is starting to gain more relevance day by day. The World Economic Forum estimates that it will be one of the most adopted technologies in 2025; so we all need to know how to use it and get the most out of it. And, “We believe that the jobs of the future will be related to the cloud. must be taken into account, so we need to know about the cloud to be better prepared and positioned in the market.”
