Despite being favorite in Viña del Mar, Lita Bezo speaks after adverse result: “The score was strange” | Viña del Mar Festival | Lights

When the winners of the international competition were announced at the Viña del Mar festival, a “chill” ran through the body. Liter weight. The Peruvian representative, who wanted to win the competition, got the lowest score. “I was nervous, nervous, and excited” says the artist. After that icy moment, she left the stage calm and grateful, because even if she hadn't raised a silver sponge, she had fulfilled her main purpose: to raise Peru, her native Iquitos, and the insecure and questioning woman she once was.

“I am always clear about not saying anything till the end. Everything that happens has a reason. I firmly believe that God has prepared better things for me and for us”, comments the translator of “Luchadora”.

In the final gala of the Chilean music competition, Eddie Valenzuela from Mexico won with the song “El Maestro” with an average of 6.3. She won the silver sponge, $28,000 and the chance to sing at the festival's closing ceremony this Friday, March 1. Spanish Enrique Ramil won the award for best actor with the song “La Ultima Ves”. Lita Beso finished third with 2.7 points.

“Congratulations to my teammates, Eddie, great fighter, may he do well in every way. I am very grateful to the people of Chile because they gave me their love, affection and kindness, not only to me but to all the participants. When the result was given, everyone expected me to react differently and asked me to wake up. We agree with my team that the score was strange. They wanted to know what happened. I told them no, let it be there. I can't tell if it deserves more points or not. So” says Bezo.

The young woman from Iquito, who won the Peruvian editions of “Yo Soy Kids” (2014) and the latest edition of “La Voz Peru”, makes it clear that this is not the first time she has faced a bad result in a competition. She receives it with more calmness and confidence.

“At 24 I have experienced things Super adults who make me stronger, mature and realize that everything happens for a reason. As a person and an artist I have grown, learned more, to judge, to be more humble and responsible for what may happen, good or bad. I will continue to fight, try and improve because the road is very long. There is a competition before and after this competition in my life”, he highlights after thanking the unconditional support he received from the Creole singer Eva Aylan, Daniela Tarcourt and Ruby Palomino.

“Teacher Eva's support is incredible. When I got off the stage, she was waiting for me, confused. I told him to calm down because things happen for a reason. She was going to calm me down and I calmed her down (laughs). I also appreciate the beautiful words of Daniela who has come a long way with a lot of hard work and effort. She is a fighter,” he insists. “And Ruby did an impeccable job in the competition. This result doesn't define us. It defines what we're going to do next, how we get up, what we do to continue in this very tough music industry.”l”, he notes.

What's next for Lita artistically? “My dream is to finish my album with unreleased songs, do a big concert, sing my music and show my message to the world, we all are fighters in some part of our lives.”, he insists.
