Walmart and Amazon want to expand their operations in Peru, Economy and Finance Minister Alex Contreras said.

“It was a very productive day and we had two rounds with top companies from Amazon, Walmart, Google and other key sectors like mining and health. In general, they have recognized two things, firstly, it is management that provides stability to investors, and secondly, we have been able to agree on additional meetings with companies. Walmart and Amazon have said they are interested in expanding their operations in the country, which is important”said the official.
Similarly, Contreras pointed out that the “most important achievement” so far was the approval of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to support the investment shock strategy the country is implementing.
