Irene Montero: “Big economy cannot survive without women”

Santiago de Chile, October 11 (EFE).- The government’s Equality Minister Irene Montero asked to put care unions “at the center of the political agenda” this Wednesday in Santiago de Chile and promised “no big economy”. There are even days without women.

“It is very important that companies around the world understand that conscious communities must move to the center of the political agenda, and I think we need to listen more to feminists in Europe to understand this,” said Montero at the headquarters of the economy. The Minister was among the participants in the 65th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean on gender equality and progress in building comprehensive care systems.

During the forum, the implementation of a bi-regional agreement on care between Latin America and the Caribbean and the European Union will also be proposed, which is a “great message” and which will help the European meeting to “learn”. Latin American countries, according to Montero. EFE
