Another year, another edition of the Luces de El Comercio Awards, recognizing the best of art, culture and entertainment in Peru. With a total of 38 statues divided into eight categories, the award is a tribute to the cultural creators that their work is important as it is a country where creating culture is not only difficult but also brave. This, dear reader, is a way to give you the power: it's in your hands to pick the winners in any category.

But knowing you can vote isn't enough. We want to make sure you know how to do it. What should you do first? Go to https://elcomercio.pe/premios-luces/ and if you are already registered, the voting form will appear. If you have not registered, a window will appear to register on the El Comercio website. Registration is completely free and you don't have to pay anything now or later. You only need to enter your name, surname, email, password and national or foreign phone number. After that, you need to click on the “Continue” button. Another option to register is to press the Facebook or Google buttons in the window; By doing so, your access to these social networks will be used for registration.

After filling in your information, a window will appear indicating that you are already logged in. They should press the yellow button to “Continue”. After that, the voting website will appear on the screen and the categories and sub-categories will be displayed one by one. To vote you need to click on your favourite, which will be marked in gold. The categories are in the following order: Television, Cinema, Performing Arts, Music, Visual Arts, Fashion, Letters and Digital Content. If you don't immediately see the category of interest when you enter the website, scroll down with your mouse until you find it.

Important: You do not need to vote in all subcategories. Vote for your favourites. Once you're done selecting your favorites, scroll down the list and hit the “Send” button.
