The Geneva-based Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Watch (Euro-Med) has compiled a list of technologists, including those specializing in programming and artificial intelligence, who have been directly killed by Israeli strikes.

The organization's list includes Tarek Thabet, project director of the “Yukas” technical archive affiliated with Gaza University College, who was killed along with his wife, children, parents and several other family members after the Israeli army stormed his home.

Among those killed by the Israeli regime was software engineer Bara Abdullah al-Sakha, founder of the company (DITS), and a group of other young programmers.

Euro-Med further noted that the Israeli regime is trying to prevent the development of Palestinian society in Gaza, undermine its scientific, educational and economic institutions, and attack and kill Palestinian talent and elites, including doctors and academics.

The crimes committed by the Israeli regime, the group warns, “are aimed at depriving important sectors of Palestinian society of specialized and distinguished personnel who will be difficult to replace in the short term, and create a state of panic and coercion among the remaining talents.
